What a crazy weather day it’s been today. When we got out of church this morning it was sunny and 75 degrees. Then it seems almost instantly the temperature dropped 15 degrees and it’s been raining ever since. On days like this there is really only one hat to wear and that’s the Tilley hat. Of the nearly 20 different models of Tilley hats we stock the two top sellers are the LTM5 and the LTM6. These are near identical models with the brim size being the only difference with the LTM6 having the larger brim of the two. I’ve found that with our customers who are looking for a golf hat they prefer the Tilley LTM5 because of it’s smaller brim. The brim on the LTM5 provides enough protection to protect your ears, nose and most of your face from the sun yet it’s not so big that it will harm your golf swing…unfortunately, it won’t improve it either. For our customers looking for a hat for other outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing or just walking about town the larger brimmed LTM6 is the hat of choice. Both of these hats provide great protection from the sun as well as from the rain making it a hat for all weather.

Hopefully you’re having a better weather day than we are here in the White Mountains.

with a new golf hat. Aaron Hats has accumulated a great selection of golf hats that range from a simple cap like the Kangol 504 Ventair to a brimmed water repellent hat like the Tilley LTM5 and lots in between.

I can’t guarantee that it will improve your game but you’ll certainly look better while playing.

We’ve been carrying the Stetson Temple fedora in Black and Mink colors for quite some time so I decided to add the Sage color. All I can say is WOW! I now have a new favorite Stetson fedora. The color is just great.

The Temple is a fur felt fedora with a 2 5/8″ x 2 3/8″ snap brim. If you tend to wear a lot of brown’s, khaki’s and olive’s this is the fedora for you.

PS: An update on the Stetson Nostalgia. This has been extremely popular both when we were doing pre-orders and in-stock hats. It is so popular that we are already out of sizes 7 3/8, 7 1/2 and 7 5/8. We already have more on order and expect them fairly shortly.

Another new arrival this week is the Stetson Windham. This is a hat that we did a lot of special orders on so we decided to stock them.

This is a really nice fedora. The proportions are right and the binding on the brim is a really nice touch. It’s available in either the Mink Brown shown above or in Black. It is fur felt and has a 2 1/2″ snap brim.

I just received a big shipment of Stetson fur felt fedoras so over the next few days I’ll post what has come in. You’ll find additional colors of the Temple and Chatham as well as a couple new styles like the Stetson Pelham 100% beaver fedora shown here:

The 100% beaver Stetson Pelham has a 2 1/2″ snap brim, leather sweatband and a satin lining. The color shown here is Caribou but can also be special ordered in Black or Mink.

We just received three new Panama fedora hats by Scala. Scala, a brand of Dorfman Pacific, has these boring style numbers for their hats so I decided to name these after some famous US presidents; the Jefferson, Adams and Reagan. These are all great Panama hats that each have a little different style to them. I think you’ll agree that these are comfortable, affordable and portray a very classic style no matter what you wear the hat with.
Here’s the Reagan shown on yours truly:

How’s this for the ultimate packable hat…the Tilley LT1B bucket hat. Like most all other Tilley Hats it’s guaranteed for life, insured against loss, repels rain and provides excellent sun protection. But the best part is that it folds into itself making it the ultimate packable hat. Check it out:

And it folds into its own internal pocket to become this:

This hat is absolutely amazing!
The Tilley TWP1 Waterproof Hat. Not only is this hat guaranteed for life and insured against loss like most Tilley hats but check this out from Tilley description:
Not only are all the seams sealed, but the exterior Nylon is laminated with a waterproof backing, making this Hat a superb rain stopper. For those days when the weather is a mite unpredictable, a zipper venting system allows for maximum airflow between downpours. When the rain eases, the YYK™ zipper vent allows air to circulate throughout the mesh interior for coolness and comfort. A 3M Scotchlite™ reflective hatband, zipper pull and wind cord make the Waterproof Hat more visible in heavy precipitation or at dawn, dusk or nighttime. An interior size adjuster ensures a custom fit. And if all that wasn’t enough, it provides maximum sun protection as well, rated at an “EXCELLENT” UPF 50+, the maximum rating given.

At a time when so many other hat companies keep cranking out the same ol’ styles and fabrics Tilley keeps on innovating and is truly “Leader of the Pack”.
Congratulations Tilley!

The fourth installment of the Indiana Jones movies, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, will hit the theaters on May 22. It’s been nearly 20 years since the last Indy movie but the anticipation for this movie is just as strong as the last movie. We have seen a gradual increase in the requests for Indiana Jones hats over the last couple months but that demand has skyrocketed in the few couple days. The most popular Indiana Jones hats are the wool felt fedora and the fur felt fedora but people are even scooping up the Indiana Jones ballcaps.

Don’t wait any longer…buy your Indiana Jones hat and start your own adventure today.
