The 504 Ventair has been a best-seller for years and it’s no surprise considering it looks great on men and women of all ages. What A Day For A Day Dream…

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

as the song goes. Since I woke up this morning with an extreme pain in my neck, literally not figuratively, I haven’t been able to do much around the store today. I’ve managed to help a few customers while walking around like a 98 year old man instead of a 38 year old. I’ve also done some paperwork but mostly I’ve just day dreamed while staring out my office window looking at the beautiful blue sky and the tall pines swaying to a light breeze while listening to the drops of melting snow hit the ground from the roof.

So what have I been day dreaming about? Surprising, not hats today. Lots of other things though including a summer vacation, our friends that will be visiting us this weekend, my wonderful wife, a Spring turkey hunt but most of all I can’t help but be reminded of the great life God has given me. Here’s the proof:

This was taken on Easter Sunday a couple years ago just down the street from our house. How can you be in a bad mood after seeing that.

What are you day dreaming about?

Spring Fever

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

We’ve had a day today of warm weather, about 40 degrees, and lots of snow melting going on. When the snow starts melting and it gets warm like this our minds start to think about Spring and after a few warm days Spring fever can set in. For most people, Spring fever means finding a new love and feeling optimistic about a great summer. Unfortunately, here in the White Mountains, Spring fever can make you think of the earth turning to mud for several weeks as the ground thaws and turns dirt roads and driveways into several inches of mud. Our driveway at home is a perfect example of this. All we need is a couple girls in bikinis and a bell and we could have mud wrestling.

Also with Spring comes plenty of rain showers. With rain showers come rain hats and Aaron Hats has some great rain hats for you. Here are two great samples for you:

Ladies Raffia Hat

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Continuing with my recent trend of reporting on ladies hats here’s another one. Just today, I received the new Tilley R2 Raffia hat for women. The Raffia Hat is trimmed with a 2″” black hatband with matching piped edge with a grosgrain ribbon wind cord for an extra touch elegance and a ton of practicality. Made from 100% premium Madagascar Raffia that softens with age the Tilley Raffia Hat comes with a 2 3/4″” brim that can be worn turned up, down, or any combination of the two. And best of all is that it’s available in four sizes which is almost unheard of with ladies hats.

Hat Tips

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

I frequently hear from customers that they have lost a hat or multiple hats over the years. Their story usually involves going to a restaurant and walking out without their hat. By the time they realize they left their hat in the restaurant and go back it’s gone. Either stolen or possibly thrown out by the staff.

Now this may seem like a mind blowing idea, and I haven’t patented the idea yet, but here it is…leave your car keys in the hat when you take it off. I know what you’re saying. Brilliant! Seriously, this has saved me a few times from losing a hat.

Back to the drawing board for my next genius idea…

Kentucky Derby Hats

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

The Kentucky Derby is about eight weeks away so that means the ladies will be vigorously shopping for the absolute right hat for the 134th running of the Derby at Churchill Downs. On May 3, 2008 women will put months of work to an end when they will get dressed in an elegant dress and their new Kentucky Derby hats. At Aaron Hats we have plenty of styles and price ranges but one of my favorites is the Betmar Juliana.

When I first saw this hat I immediately thought of the Derby. Don’t you agree?

Off to the races,
